About Fjord3D™
Fjord3D™ is a personal hobby project by Bjorn Shtender, a retired civil engineer from Northern Europe who discovered the reefing world during the COVID years.
With no background in aquariums, Bjorn was inspired by the team behind TreasureCorals.com and their in-depth YouTube content. After reaching out, he was welcomed into the reefing community and given the opportunity to combine his engineering background with their hands-on experience in coral propagation and saltwater aquarium care.
With their support, Bjorn began designing a range of functional accessories — shaped by real needs and built with a clean, minimalist approach. These creations were developed specifically in collaboration with TreasureCorals.com to support their work in home coral cultivation.
What Fjord3D™ Supports
Bjorn wants more people to discover the passionate individuals behind TreasureCorals.com — reefing experts who dedicate their personal time to coral propagation and innovation. He’s seen firsthand how much of their energy goes into the reef tanks, often leaving little time to explain the thoughtful tools they’ve developed along the way.
Fjord3D™ is his way of giving back — by supporting the gear side of the hobby, sharing insights, and helping others better understand how these accessories were designed to solve real-world reefing challenges.
Bjorn contributes by:
Highlighting the functional advantages of the product line
Sharing ideas, use cases, and design reasoning
Preparing support materials — photos, usage tips, and visual guides
Participating in discussions that may inspire further improvements
“No deadlines, no pressure. Just sharing what I’ve learned — and maybe helping others see the brilliance of what’s already been built.”
Why Fjord3D™ Exists
In retirement, Bjorn enjoys the freedom to focus on what excites him — without deadlines or obligations. He works only on ideas that spark his curiosity, giving him the satisfaction of learning and creating at his own pace.
What once felt out of reach is now part of his daily creative process — modern tools and design fuel his curiosity.
